Studio Oxmox: Statues for the developers and rich people =(

Studio Oxmox are responsible for many epic statues you see at conventions or for advertising purposes. Here are my favourite 1:1 sculptures from their website:

The Big Daddy at the top sold on Ebay for $6,490 with a shipping bill attached for $1,449 from outside the U.S.A. I'd have them in row either side down a long entrance hallway, mwhahaha...but that's all I'd have, an entrance hallway.

Volpin Props that I mentioned in an earlier post made Big Daddy and Little Sister costumes entirely from scratch and then photographed it in an aquarium. Don't get cooler than that. Check it out:

Here are the links to his website, blog and Facebook again where there will be more photos and I'm pretty sure a step by step guide to building this EPICNESS

The Mad Masker Prop Maker: Mass Effect

Another amazing piece I stumbled across is really a cos-playing piece but still is an incredible prop. Check out her Facebook page for photos of real life Samara =O

I goddamn love Mass Effect (despite the ending) Liara is fine as-well. Totally tapped that...

Peter Nordstrom Original Statues

This is another very talented guy who I have actually ordered things from! I found him when I saw these statues made for a Dark Souls competition:

I instantly researched his name and found his page on deviantart. My friend is a huge fan of the game so I got him one of these badboys for Christmas:

His prices are very reasonable but obviously the shipping from the U.S.A ramped up the price abit. I got myself one as-well, you've gotta ain't ya?

Demon Souls and Dark Souls seem to be his passion when it comes to making these sculptures and he has made amazing, extremely expensive pieces like this:

To small little gifts like this Dark Souls 2 piece intended as a piece for a HUGE Demon/Dark Souls themed chess set. That is crazy. I would totally get one though as it's a unique item and would tons of fun to play!

Here are links to his deviantart page and his Facebook page. His page includes prices and shipping estimates! Be sure to check it out if your a fan of the games, his other statues are awesome and even more to come!

Volpin Props: A Master.

I have recently had the pleasure of stumbling across an extremely talented dude naming himself Volpin Props. He has made a few incredible pieces for conventions and I even think for developers of the game he has made a prop or replica for. He seems to be on the right wave length when it comes to video-games and what people want from their collectibles. He hasn't got a huge portfolio yet but what he has got is amazing and must be gazed upon if you know anything about video-games. Here are some awesome examples of his work:

Steel Axe Replica from Skyrim.

Adam Syringe from Bioshock

BOTH variants of the Gravity Gun from Half Life. This guy is a G

N7 Valkyrie Rifle from Mass Effect. Badass, just so badass

M8 Avenger from Mass Effect. Again, just badass.

On his website and blog he has many more examples of his work. I'm not entirely sure how much his stuff costs but I guess it depends on the size and complexity of the build. What you get though is beyond awesome. They're not just replicas but working props as-well. Like the rifle above, it has many L.E.D effects and such. He basically just goes to town on his projects.
One day I shall have something custom built for me by him and I will then die a happy man.
Here are links to his website, blog and Facebook page. Check it out, you'll regret it though, you see his stuff, you want his stuff.

Darksiders amazing attempt at replicas

I'm not a huge fan of the Darksiders games. They are, in my opinion, just lots of other games chucked into one. Me and my friend played through the first one with mixed thoughts but in the spirit of video-gaming, here are two replicas from the, I believe, second game.

This is not me. This is a very lucky dude.

Let start with that ridiculous scythe. Here is a summary as originally posted on Triforce's website:

TriForce proudly presents the officially licensed Darksiders 2: Soul Reaper Full Scale Replica, masterfully sculpted and painted by the artisans at TriForce. The end result is the most authentic portrayal of Death's trademark weapon as envisioned by artist and creator, Joe Madureira. The Soul Reaper Full Scale Replica is hand-finished and hand-painted to precision quality. Intricately crafted and cast in polystone, it stands a massive 70 inches long, 48 inches high and weighs in at 46 pounds, and features working LED effects! Own this authentic piece of videogame history as part of a Limited Edition of 500 pieces worldwide.

Wait....SEVENTY INCHES. That is just ludicrous. But for $900 or about £800 as seen on some British websites you'd expect something incredible. The reason why it isn't that much cheaper in the UK or £s is because it's so big that the company you buy it from in the UK or wherever will have to ship it over from US anyway so will cost them loads!

Here is a link to Project Triforce's site with the scythe. They have some other cool stuff as-well so check it out! http://www.projecttriforce.com/index.php?p=product&id=23

Now onto the sword...

This also isn't me by the way, it's the only to scale photo I can find of it!

Here is the description as originally posted on: https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product.aspx?product=UCL10041&mode=retail

United Cutlery has matched as closely as possible every detail of War's sword Chaoseater, right down to the faces sculpted into the blade and the fine, battle-worn nicks and dents. Each steel-reinforced, cold-cast replica features a hand-polished alloy blade surface, with hand-painted and weathered surface details. The grip is wrapped in high-grade genuine leather. Included is a custom wall display. Overall, the sword measures 46 1/2" long.

Now that is an evil looking sword, whether you like the game or not. It's going for $180 on thebigbadtoystore so about £120. Which is pretty reasonable going by the size and detail. This is a realistic option for Darksider's fans I think!

Here are some links to buy the sword (i'm not going to bother with the scythe, if you want it, you sort out how to get that monstrosity to your house!)

U.S.A

U.K

http://www.uniquities.co.uk/acatalog/darksiders-1.html

I can only find this one website selling the Chaos-Eater sword in the U.K or at least in £s.

I have never ordered using these websites before and must stress that it's up to the person buying whether they want to use these links, these are only for convenience so you don't have to go breaking down the internet trying to find one.

Assassin's Creed 3 Metal Tomahawk!

I haven't seen this Assassin's Creed real metal tomahawk anywhere else but this website:

https://www.barringtons-swords.com/movie_and_collector_weapons_page_2.html
scoll down a bit and you will see the two tomahawk variants.

The website does not allow copying or any text or photo's so unfortunately I can't show you a photo without you visiting the website, sorry guys!

It is in £ but as I said, I have seen it nowhere else on the internet. Please let me know if you do and what you think of it! I think the stand/base is sweeeeeet

My collection is only small because of financial reasons. It will grow substantially now that my passion for collectibles has increased greatly. I hope this has inspired you to get your own collectibles. I find, especially with video-games as the items and weapons you use and hold aren't real, that having something from that game or whatever it is, even a TV show, is extremely rewarding =D

Greetings and Welcome!

This is my first ever blog!

Greetings fellow video-game fans and fanatics. My name is Chris or BrutalLemon, whichever you prefer! I decided to start this blog as a way of letting the world of gamers know about the incredible line of replicas, props and collectibles available throughout the world from numerous manufacturers.

The reason for feeling the need to make this happen was I didn't feel there was a definitive website (or blog I knew of) that really posted what I wanted to see in terms of video gaming collectibles. Don't get me wrong, there are websites that do it but endless pages of Mario inspired items ranging, from bottle openers to Pez dispensers is not what this Blog will be about.

I will post images and details scoured from my various sources across the internet and most of the time give links and a description of how to purchase the item and most important, a price. I will post in $ and £ if possible as-well because i'm just that kinda guy.

But enough with pleasantries, let's get it awn.
